#NVME DRIVER FOR WINDOWS 7 INSTALLATION INSTALL#
Soo I just wanted to reinstall windows 7 then i found out ole Newb cut a fresh install of win 10 which i despise to begin with so now i am double jacked, I just wanted to reinstall Windows 7 Pro SP1 on this drive but the only copy i could find is from the ISO Image downloader which is a very clean virgin copy and that is what I am afraid of zero drivers have been slipstreamed in, it will see the nvme no problem but when the bios hands off the control to the installer it drops all drivers and there is no drive list and takes me to the F6 floppy option (well not really the new way of load drivers) and i have downed all ASUS MB drivers from ASUS and 3rd party from other sources ie samsung intel etc etc. Heres what happened, Some Newb tech decided he was gonna learn on my machine which if you knew me no one touches my boxes well this knuckle head decided since he saw my fresh install not activated he was going to take liberties and boy did he. Drive optional poss 2nd drive if I so chooed to use it UBB WD external Drive Current Main drive is Samaung Pro 960 attached to memory riser and installed into memory slot 9 as CPU storageĤ. Motherboard Asus Rampage VI Extreme x299ģ. I also have found the following to recognize the disks on newer devicesġ. Welcome to the community, if you are using UEFI then it would not recognize it well. I do beiliev it is the F6 insert driver disk that I need to be using when i try that thinking i have downloaded the correct drivers the good ole u f'd up message no driver found to match your hardware installed during boot install of windows 7 or 10 U1 U43 U54 and the crap you get wien you extract an exe driver installer. and for the life of me usually i end up getting an old sata drive and old dvd rom drive and the like media and installing it to a sata and then do a clone to the SSD drive This is all steaming around the U E F I boot interface i want to know the standard BIOS settings and if anyone has or knows of generic controller drivers for sata drives as well as nvme drives when i say drivers i mean the raw INF, INI, SYS, CAT, CAB files not those silly Now you try and make an image cast it to a usb drive and try the install it wont find USB HARDWARE or DRIVE CONTROLLER HARDWARE. Thank you first of all for welcoming me to the board, I am new here however very much of an old timer when it comes to installations of operating systems and the like, However this one has me stumped, up until mid windows 7 you could grab a win installer pop it in the dvd drive and go to town.
